I have practiced yoga for over a decade. When exhausting hours and myriad responsibilities have precluded regular asana practice, the inner preactices have continued, and there is always the breath. In recent years, I practice in a class setting four to times weekly, attend kirtan regularly, have a yoga room for some practice at home, and meditate eight to ten hours per week. Yoga unites and balances mind, body, and spirit, providing emotional healing, mental clarity, physical therapy for a beautiful, healthy body, and, ultimately, enlightenment. What precious gifts are offered by a yogic life - how could I keep away from all of that?
